How it works

1. Upload

Drag in a photo or PDF of your itemized bill and EOB. Everything stays private to your account.

2. We analyze

We read every line, decode CPT codes, flag duplicate charges, upcoding, and denial errors — and estimate your overcharge.

3. Act

Generate an appeal, negotiation, or itemization request letter. Track every case from first upload to resolution.

80% of medical bills contain errors.

Duplicate charges. Codes billed at the wrong level. Services you never received. Denials that shouldn't have been denied. BillCheck catches them so you don't pay for them.

Average estimated overcharge caught: hundreds to thousands per bill.

Even one flagged error can be worth more than a year of the Family plan.

Built for the moment the bill arrives

You don't need to know what a CPT code is. BillCheck does the reading so you can decide what to do next.

After an ER or hospital visit

Multiple bills for one visit, arriving weeks apart. Upload them together and see the full picture — including surprise out-of-network charges.

When your claim gets denied

We translate the denial code, tell you whether it's worth appealing, and write the appeal citing the right policy language.

When you can't afford the balance

Generate a hardship or charity care letter citing a nonprofit hospital's IRS 501(r) obligations, plus a negotiation letter for a lower cash price.

What people are saying

Real results from people who checked their bill before paying it.

Denial reversed

The hardship letter walked me through charity care at my nonprofit hospital. They wiped $4,800 off my balance.

Jennifer

Common questions

Is my medical information private?

Yes. Your files are stored in a private bucket tied to your account and protected by row-level security. Only you can access them, and you can delete a case (and its files) at any time.

How does BillCheck review my bill?

Your uploaded bill and EOB are reviewed line by line, medical codes are decoded, potential errors are flagged, an overcharge is estimated, and letters are drafted. A human does not review your documents unless you contact support and explicitly share your case.

Will my bill be used to train machine learning models?

No. We instruct our analysis provider not to use your uploaded documents or case content to train its models. Your files are only processed to deliver the service to you.

Can anyone at BillCheck see my bill?

No. Employees cannot access your case content except when strictly necessary to operate the service or respond to a support request you initiate. Routine analysis is fully automated.

What documents should I upload?

An itemized bill from your provider and the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurer. Photos or PDFs both work.

How long does an analysis take?

Usually under a minute. We decode CPT codes, cross-check your EOB, and estimate potential overcharges before drafting any letters.

What kinds of errors does BillCheck catch?

Duplicate charges, upcoded services, unbundled procedures, denials that shouldn't have been denied, and No Surprises Act violations across multiple bills for the same visit.

What letters can BillCheck draft?

Appeal letters, negotiation letters, itemization requests, and hardship / charity care letters citing IRS 501(r) obligations for nonprofit hospitals.

Does BillCheck guarantee a refund or reduction?

No. BillCheck is an informational tool. It highlights potential errors and drafts letters — but insurers and providers make the final decision.

How much does it cost?

Your first case is free. The Family plan is $19/mo for unlimited cases and letters, or $9 for a single one-off case. Cancel anytime.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Manage or cancel from your Account page in one click — no calls, no forms.
