Welcome to BillCheck. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What BillCheck does

BillCheck is an informational tool that helps you understand medical bills and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents, flags potential billing issues, and drafts letters you can send to providers or insurers. BillCheck is not a law firm, medical provider, insurance broker, or billing advocate. Nothing in the service constitutes legal, medical, or financial advice.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of bills, EOBs, notes, and any other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant BillCheck a limited license to store, process, and analyze Your Content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the right to upload the documents you submit.

4. Generated output

Analyses, red flags, letters, and chat responses are generated by automated models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You must review and verify all output before relying on it, sending it to a third party, or making a financial decision based on it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload content you do not have the right to share.
Upload bills or documents belonging to other people without their permission.
Use the service to harass providers, insurers, or any other party.
Attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or scrape the service.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Free accounts include one full case analysis. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current period unless required by law.

7. Termination

You may delete your cases or close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, we may delete Your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the analyses or letters will achieve any particular outcome with your provider or insurer.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillCheck's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
